Stepping out of your comfort zone can be one of the most powerful decisions you'll ever make — that's what I did when I said yes to this mission trip. I don’t know exactly what to expect, but I know I want to serve, learn, and experience life from a new perspective.

There’s something unsettling about not knowing what’s coming next in your life. It might be a new season, a decision hanging in the air, or a lifelong dream that hasn’t unfolded the way you hoped. These things can overwhelm you with sadness, doubt, and fear about what’s ahead.

Recently, I’ve found myself struggling with all of that — stepping into a new season after graduating high school, and putting a dream for my future on hold. That pause made me question the next few months, even the next few years. But through it, God placed me on a mission trip to Manchester, New Hampshire. It was there that I learned about the trip to Italy and Albania — the very place I believe God is calling me to be this fall.

I’m learning to trust God and to realize that the plans He has for us are always greater than our own. A verse I’ve been leaning on during this journey is Proverbs 3:6 — “In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” It reminds me that if we trust Him, God will lead us to the best possible things.

As I wrap this up, I’m reminded of a line from the song Miracle Power by We the Kingdom: “While I may not know what a day may bring, I know Who brings the day.” That truth has been such an encouragement to me in this season, and I hope it encourages you too.
