When I heard I needed to raise almost $8,000, I was worried. It was so overwhelming to think about, so for a little while I chose not to think about it. But, that led to greater stress later. I had to realize that it's not me raising this money, it's the Lord. So I trusted that if the Lord was sending me on this trip He had a way for me to raise the money. I believed that and started putting the work in on my end. Reaching out to friends, family, and writing letters to businesses were the first steps. After that I continued to pray and trust the Lord in the waiting time.

Seeing friends, family, people I haven't seen in years, and some I've never even met supporting me and believing in me was such an amazing answer to my prayers. The Lord has continued to bless me and has gotten me 40% funded so far! I am so grateful for everyone who is supporting me, prayers and donations alike!
